Operation Christmas Child

    First Presbyterian Church has been involved with the Operation Christmas Child program since shortly after its inception in 1993. In recent years, this has been a project of the Women of the Church who have held fall campaigns within our congregation to solicit donations of completed boxes or funds to help fill shoe boxes. The boxes are then sent to needy children throughout the world along with written materials bearing the message of Christ’s love for them.

   More than 24 million shoe boxes have been delivered by Samaritan’s Purse throughout the world, and our church is proud to have been a major participant in this wonderful program. Just in the past few years, our congregation has contributed in excess of 6,000 filled boxes to this charity.
